UCHealth is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, working night shifts to support high-quality diagnostic imaging for a diverse patient population. As an MRI Technologist at our Colorado-based, nonprofit health care system, you will perform MRI examinations using advanced imaging equipment, ensuring accurate image acquisition while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, comfort, and privacy. You will review physician orders, screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications, position patients correctly, select and implement appropriate imaging protocols, and monitor patients throughout procedures, including the administration and monitoring of contrast media under established guidelines. You will collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team to deliver patient-centered care, promptly communicating critical findings and contributing to efficient workflow across multiple hospitals and outpatient facilities. This night-shift role requires strong technical competence, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, making sound judgments in a fast-paced environment while following UCHealth and regulatory policies, radiation and MRI safety standards, and infection control practices. You will be expected to maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment within your scope, perform basic quality control checks, ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record and PACS, and uphold patient identification and consent procedures. UCHealth emphasizes an innovative, diverse, and inclusive work environment focused on excellence and continuous improvement, so you will be encouraged to participate in ongoing training, continuing education, and process-improvement initiatives related to imaging protocols, patient experience, and safety. The position offers competitive benefits, opportunities for professional growth, and a supportive team culture where your expertise in MRI technology, patient care, and critical thinking contributes directly to improved outcomes and a superior patient experience during evening and overnight hours.
