About the Role: We are seeking an Optician / Optical Sales Associate who is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and enjoys helping people look and feel their best. This role combines eyewear sales, technical optical work, and patient interaction, guiding patients through frame and lens selection while ensuring accuracy, comfort, and a seamless experience.
Key Responsibilities: Assist patients with frame and lens selection based on prescription, lifestyle, and preferences Provide eyewear dispensing, fittings, and adjustments for optimal comfort and vision Perform lens verification and neutralization using a lensometer Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and contact lenses Enter and maintain accurate patient and order information in EMR systems Manage optical inventory, including receiving, tracking, and merchandising frames Support contact lens sales and patient education Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming optical area Anticipate patient needs and provide a smooth, supportive experience
What We’re Looking For: Strong customer service and patient interaction skills Ability to build trust and guide patients through purchasing decisions Comfort with technology and ability to learn optical systems quickly Strong attention to detail and accuracy Sales mindset with a focus on helping—not pushing—patients Team-oriented with a willingness to support others Positive attitude toward learning and growth Preferred Qualifications: Experience in optical sales or as an optician Familiarity with lensometry and eyewear adjustments Experience with EMR or point-of-sale systems
