Seeking an energetic Certified Personal Trainer to join our team. The right candidate will have a passion for fitness, desire to motivate others, and a fun upbeat attitude. This trainer is successful in training in a 1on1 environment and in group training settings. We are looking for someone who is team oriented, reliable, trustworthy, punctual, and lead by example. We promote a wellness lifestyle and desire to find trainers who can lead by example.
*JOB SUMMARY*
Deliver a variety of programs for a wide range of clients. Build a client base under the management of the Personal Training Director that contributes to departmental revenues.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Creating personalized workout routines to improve muscular endurance, flexibility, and cardiovascular health.
* Setting fitness goals and monitoring their clients’ progress
* Provide basic nutrition guidance
* Be able to lead group fitness classes
* Demonstrate correct use of all weight and cardiovascular equipment.
* Assist in development and implementation of club programs and events.
* Participate in all staff related meetings and other required activities.
* Behave as a role model by leading and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
* Dress professionally, according to the current dress code standards.
* Perform a customer service role by assisting members in monitoring their exercise programs, encouraging members to reach their fitness and wellness goals, and handling member concerns and complaints quickly and effectively.
* Encourage members to take advantage of other club services, programs and supplements.
* Other duties as assigned such as cleaning equipment.
*REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES*
* Excellent customer service skills, energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational attitude
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to build professional relationship with members
* Ability to resolve conflicts in a professional, tactful manner
* Desire to continually learn new principles in the areas of training, overall fitness, health and nutrition
*REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE*
* Nationally recognized personal training certification required
* Must have current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (must be obtained within 60 days of hire)
* Hands on training and experience in areas such as corrective exercise, post-rehab, and injury prevention, are a plus
*PHYSICAL DEMANDS*
Must be able to physically or verbally demonstrate proper usage of equipment. The employee is occasionally required to move equipment, stand, walk, run, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific physical demands depend on the specific clients and the programs built for them.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
Work Location: In person
