*SUMMARY:*
The X-Ray Technician shows genuine warmth with patients and has the ability to make them feel comfortable in the center while providing effective and technically competent nursing assistance to both patients and Camarena Health clinical providers. The X-Ray Technician provides or facilitates the provision of information needed by both patients and clinicians, will receive instructions from doctors regarding the x-rays patients require.

Arrives on time and adheres to set schedule
Provides prompt medical support; promotes a smooth patient flow; collects and records data accurately; maintains order of exam rooms, equipment and supplies
Provides basic education and information to patients, making sure patients questions are answered and anxieties alleviated and interfaces with community-oriented activities and staff
Achieves the organizational mission to provide health care access for all the members of the community. S/he helps make sure patients and families get the care they need when they need it.
Consistently and openly communicates with supervisor and all staff
Works flexible or extended hours where necessary
Participates in health center in-services, listening and respecting others ideas
Demonstrates awareness of, and compliance with, organizational mission and objective of Camarena Health.

*DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITES*
*Radiologic Technologist Duties*
* Prepare patients for radiologic procedures by providing clear instructions and ensuring proper positioning for imaging.
* Operate radiologic equipment to obtain diagnostic images as per physician orders.
* Adhere to all radiologic safety standards, using protection devices to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
* Maintain and monitor x-ray equipment, reporting malfunctions promptly to the Center Operations Director.
* Ensure proper documentation and transmission of radiology reports into the EMR.
* Perform regular QA/QC procedures, equipment calibration, and recordkeeping according to policy.
*Medical Assistant Duties*
* Administer DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
* Prepare patients for physical examinations and perform vital sign assessments, injections, vaccines, PFTs, audiograms, and respirator fit testing.
* Conduct rapid screening tests (e.g., influenza, strep, glucose).
* Assist clinicians during examinations and procedures; provide basic wound care and apply splints/dressings.
* Dispense medications and DME per clinician orders, following state regulations.
* Perform clerical duties including patient check-in/out, handling phone calls, and managing records.
* Support patient flow and communication, ensuring a positive experience and efficient care delivery.
* Maintain cleanliness and stocking of exam rooms, and ensure equipment functionality.
* Participate in ongoing clinical training and maintain required certifications.
*Minimum Requirements:*
*Education: *
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
* Active certification from the *American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)*.
* State licensure/certification (if applicable).
* Current *CPR/First Aid Certification*.
*Prior Experience: *
* At least 6 months of experience as a medical assistant preferred.
* Prior healthcare, occupational medicine, or medical office experience is beneficial.
*Skills:*
* Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and flexibility.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and PHI regulations.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
* Ability to function as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
*Additional Requirements: *
* Participation in initial and ongoing clinical competency training.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including potential evenings or weekends.
* Must meet all training and certification requirements for medical support functions (e.g., drug screening, breath alcohol testing).
