Presbyterian Healthcare Services, a non-profit healthcare system based in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic radiologic imaging procedures in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, supporting physicians and other care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients across a variety of clinical settings. You will prepare and position patients for imaging exams, operate radiographic equipment according to established protocols, and ensure that all images produced meet clinical and technical standards for accuracy, clarity, and diagnostic value. You will verify patient identity, explain procedures in a clear and compassionate manner, and maintain a strong focus on patient comfort, privacy, and safety, including appropriate use of shielding and adherence to ALARA principles for radiation exposure. Working collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team, the Radiologic Technologist will review orders for appropriateness, confirm relevant clinical information, and adjust imaging techniques based on patient condition and body habitus. Responsibilities include following infection prevention standards, accurately documenting procedures in the electronic health record, and ensuring timely completion and transmission of studies to the PACS for interpretation. You will assist with contrast procedures as appropriate to scope, monitor patients during and post-procedure, and promptly report any changes in patient condition or safety concerns. This position requires strict adherence to departmental protocols, quality assurance processes, and regulatory standards. The Radiologic Technologist will regularly inspect and maintain imaging equipment and exam rooms, report malfunctions, and help maintain adequate inventory of supplies. You will participate in continuous quality improvement activities, including image quality review, repeat/reject analysis, and implementation of best practices that support Presbyterian Healthcare’s commitment to high-quality, safe care.
