CT&X-Ray Technologist

Intermountain Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT & X-Ray Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. As part of a not-for-profit, Utah-based health system renowned for high-quality, innovative care, you will play a key role in delivering safe, accurate diagnostic imaging to support patient diagnosis and treatment. In this role, you will perform a wide range of CT and diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with physician orders, established protocols, and regulatory standards. You will prepare patients for procedures by verifying identity, explaining exams, obtaining relevant history, screening for contraindications, and ensuring appropriate positioning and comfort. You will operate CT scanners and radiographic equipment, select proper technical factors, administer contrast media as directed, and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, responding promptly to any signs of distress or adverse reaction. You will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure through proper use of ALARA principles, shielding, and appropriate imaging techniques. Accurate documentation and timely completion of imaging studies in the electronic medical record and PACS are essential, including correct patient and exam information, contrast usage, dose reporting, and clear communication of any critical or unexpected findings to the appropriate clinical staff. Working in a fast-paced hospital and clinic environment, you will collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, providers, and fellow technologists to coordinate patient throughput and prioritize emergent, inpatient, and outpatient cases. You will assist with trauma and emergency imaging, portable radiography, and on-call or weekend coverage as needed to support 24/7 patient care. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area, performing basic equipment quality checks, and promptly reporting malfunctions are key aspects of daily practice.
