Occupational Therapist

PruittHealth is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide patient-centered occupational therapy services to individuals requiring rehabilitation and support to regain or maintain their independence in daily activities. Working within our skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment, you will evaluate patients’ functional abilities, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver evidence‑based interventions that address physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs. As an Occupational Therapist with PruittHealth, you will perform comprehensive assessments, including range of motion, strength, coordination, balance, and functional mobility, as well as the ability to perform activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team—including physicians, nurses, physical and speech therapists, social workers, and case managers—to establish meaningful goals and ensure continuity and quality of care. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing therapeutic interventions, recommending adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, and educating patients, families, and caregivers on safe and effective techniques to support functional independence at home or in long‑term care settings. You will maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of evaluations, plans of care, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory standards, payer requirements, and PruittHealth policies. The role requires strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage a diverse caseload. You will actively participate in care conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and staff education, contributing to a culture of clinical excellence and patient safety.
