Radiographer-PRMC at Presbyterian Healthcare Services is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic radiographic imaging services in a patient-centered, safety-focused environment. Working within the Healthcare & Medical Services department, this role performs routine and specialized diagnostic X-ray examinations following physician orders and established protocols, ensuring optimal image quality while minimizing radiation exposure in accordance with ALARA guidelines. The Radiographer prepares and positions patients of all ages, explains procedures to promote comfort and cooperation, and verifies patient identity and exam details to maintain accuracy and safety. This position collaborates closely with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team to support timely diagnosis and treatment, communicates significant findings or concerns promptly, and contributes to a respectful and compassionate care experience aligned with Presbyterian’s values of integrity, accountability, and patient-centered care. Responsibilities include operating and troubleshooting radiographic equipment and digital imaging systems (including PACS and RIS), selecting appropriate technical factors, performing quality control checks, and ensuring proper use, cleaning, and minor maintenance of imaging equipment. The Radiographer accurately documents procedures, completes electronic health record entries, and adheres to departmental and organizational policies, including infection prevention, radiation safety, and regulatory standards. This role may assist with portable and OR imaging, trauma and emergency studies, and other specialized views as required by patient condition and provider orders. The Radiographer-PRMC is expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of radiographic techniques, participate in ongoing education and competency assessments, and support a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and high-quality service.
