Gastroenterologist Chief Physician

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York, and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University is seeking a full-time division chief for our digestive diseases department.

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Join an established group of five physicians and four advanced practice clinicians

• Demonstrated proficiency in standard GI procedures and testing. Advanced skills in ERCP and EUS preferable.

• Educational focus – teach and mentor residents and medical students

• Call no more frequent than 1:4

• Instant referral base provided with over 300 Network Clinicians

• EMR-EPIC

• Salary range: $615,000 - $725,000. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare's good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards

• Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.

• Sign-on bonus up to $200,000

Job Requirements

• MD, DO or MBBS

• Board Eligible or Board Certified

• 5 to 10 years post fellowship highly preferred

• Established clinician with leadership experience

• Experience in program development

• Interest in teaching residents and students

• New York State licensure

• BLS certification required

• DEA required
