Overview

We’re looking for an experienced and skilled Senior Major and Complex Loss Adjuster to join our team. Reporting directly to the Head of Major and Complex Loss (MCL), you’ll manage high-value and complex property claims across a variety of sectors, including commercial, domestic, construction, and other property-related losses.

This role is ideal for a professional with extensive experience in property MCL claims handling, strong client engagement skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. While an ACILA qualification is highly desirable, we also welcome applications from candidates with significant experience in major and complex property loss adjusting who are working towards this accreditation.


How you'll make an impact
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of major and complex property claims, from instruction to settlement.
  • Handle claims across commercial, domestic, construction, and other property-related sectors.
  • Ensure claims are managed in line with company and client service standards, meeting agreed KPIs.
  • Produce high-quality, tailored reports and correspondence for clients, brokers, and stakeholders.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure optimal outcomes for complex claims.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, insurers, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent the organisation professionally in client meetings, industry events, and the wider insurance market.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention through excellent service delivery.
  • Support the Head of MCL in achieving team goals and delivering strong financial performance.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including tenders and client presentations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure compliance and innovation.

About You
  • Extensive experience in handling major and complex property claims, including commercial, domestic, construction, and other property-related losses.
  • Proven ability to manage high-value claims with technical precision and professionalism.
  • ACILA qualification is highly desirable, but candidates with significant experience working towards this accreditation will also be considered.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to build trust and credibility with clients, brokers, and stakeholders across various sectors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce detailed and accurate reports.
  • Proactive approach to resolving challenges and achieving positive outcomes for clients.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple claims and priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
