Nursery Practitioner - Level 2

Hours: 40 hours - 4.5 days per week

Salary: £13.08 per hour

We are on the lookout for a passionate Level 2 Practitioner to join our dedicated team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will help create a nurturing environment for children aged 0-5 years, as well as support our out-of-school club for children up to 12 years. Depending on your strengths, you may work with our little ones aged 0-3 or engage with preschoolers and older children.

Key Responsibilities

As a Nursery Practitioner, your main duties will include:

  • Creating stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to children's age and development.
  • Ensuring compliance with the statutory framework for the EYFS.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursery.
  • Supporting the smooth operation of the nursery and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.
  • Building professional relationships and addressing any concerns in line with company policies.
  • Facilitating a strong key person approach to help children form secure attachments.
  • Participating in regular team meetings to stay updated on priorities and policies.
Requirements and Skills

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • A full and relevant Level 2 childcare qualification (essential).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (essential).
  • Over 1 year of experience in Early Years (desirable).
  • Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements (desirable).
