As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and academic readiness of our students. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the improvement of wellbeing, resilience, and behaviour management.
• Collaborating with the education team to remove barriers to learning.
• Promoting positive learning behaviours among young people.
• Leading classes during PPA and absence cover, with planning support from teaching staff.
• Delivering engaging enrichment activities during golden time.
• Assisting in lessons to support academic understanding and emotional needs.
• Responding to immediate concerns and clarifying situations.
• Creating and collating information related to lessons and interventions.
• Preparing information for meetings about pupils.
• Advocating for the ethos of Holdsworth School.
• Leading on Reading and Phonics, reviewing student progress.
• Developing the Pupil Voice initiative and liaising with SLT about the Pupil Council.
• Building relationships with parents/carers and participating in transitions and consultations.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• A strong educational background, with at least GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.
• Previous experience in a similar role, such as HLTA.
• Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
• Confidence to take on additional responsibilities in areas like Food Hygiene, Forest School, or School Yoga.
• Experience in behaviour management techniques.
• A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.

This is a full-time, term-time only position with a basic salary of £24,000 FTE . You will be part of a friendly and inclusive team that is passionate about improving outcomes for our students.
