About Our School

ISP School Whitstable specializes in providing education for Key Stage 2 children aged 7-11 who face various challenges. With a maximum of 24 children, we create a safe and nurturing environment where well-trained staff support each child’s unique journey.

Your Role

As our new Deputy Headteacher, you will:

  • Ensure high-quality teaching and learning across the school, focusing on inclusion and differentiated instruction for SEND students.
  • Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of pupils, collaborating closely with the SENCo.
  • Lead whole-school strategic planning and the ongoing development of the curriculum.
  • Provide curriculum training for staff during training sessions and INSET, while valuing your own and others' professional development.
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEND.
  • Proven track record of delivering a high-quality curriculum tailored to support young people with SEND.
  • Experience in leading and managing teams with a compassionate and therapeutic approach.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work inclusively with staff, students, and families.
  • A proactive and adaptable attitude, capable of developing systems and processes aligned with our school’s values and ethos.
