Job Summary The EPSO LMS Administrator will serve as the technical lead, coordinating with teams from the Tennessee Board of Regents to create, manage, and administer Statewide Dual Credit (SDC) exams for TN high school students, assist the EPSO Coordinator with technical support, data collection, reporting efforts, and teacher trainings, and assist the EPSO Director with supporting EPSO management and expansion efforts. The position requires high attention to detail, including manipulation of large sets of student information and secure data management, proficiency in LMS functions, administration, and support, and the ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously.
The role may offer remote work within Tennessee with periodic visits to the TBR System Office (Nashville, TN) at the employee’s expense and potential travel to Tennessee TBR colleges.
Job Duties
25% – Maintain a detailed understanding of LMS functions and management, including:
Course creation and cloning
User enrollment and management, including account creation (i.e., SDC teachers, graders, and administrators)
Create trainings for thousands of individual courses and classrooms across the TBR system
Develop, coordinate, and conduct training and offer support to all levels of LMS users (Essential)
20% – Manage and provide Tier 1 technical support for LMS issues and for high school teachers and other high school administrators, including:
Policies and procedures
Process consistency and compliance
Quality performance
Productivity
Day‑to‑day performance management (Essential)
20% – Achieve and maintain a collaborative working relationship with the EPSO Coordinator, who provides Tier 2 Help Desk service. Collaborate on day‑to‑day program facilitation including:
Contact list management
Process optimization and implementation
Mass‑marketing email campaigns
Documentation maintenance and publishing (Essential)
15% – Assist the Director of EPSO with providing system‑wide support to all EPSOs, including:
Data collection, analysis, and dissemination to statewide partners and stakeholders
Developing dashboards
Advising
Documentation
Training
Communications
Delivery
Policy
AI Literacy
Serve as the EPSO contact point for all postsecondary institutions, including but not limited to SDC articulation, EPSO database access, and SDC score confirmation (Essential)
10% – Dual Credit Exam Management:
Partner with TDOE administrators to deliver dual credit challenge exams in the fall and spring of each school year
Work with the EPSO Coordinator to manage Respondus integration with D2L
Contract, train, and manage faculty groups who grade for SDC (Essential)
5% – Facilitate and manage work required to bring all public‑facing EPSO team resources into compliance with WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards (Essential)
5% – Other assignments as given by the Director of EPSO (Essential)
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field
3 years administering an LMS
Experience providing technical support services and supporting course management systems
Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Instructional Design, Education, or a related field
4+ years administering an LMS
Experience with D2L
Experience collaborating with SMEs to design and develop e‑learning solutions
3‑5 years supervisory experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate with senior leadership and end‑user customer service support
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office products
Strong problem‑solving skills
Significant critical‑thinking skills and the ability to generate and evaluate multiple alternatives as part of decision‑making processes
Significant experience using learning management systems
Capacity to manage multiple competing priorities
Ability to develop and maintain a positive, collaborative work environment
Advanced technical skills in course management systems
Experience in OER curation/creation and management
Proficient in applying accessibility best practices to ensure WCAG 2.0 Level AA compliance across web and non‑web electronic documents
