In this role, you will provide leadership and clinical oversight to a team of counselors and support staff delivering substance use and co‑occurring behavioral health services in a community‑based setting. You will ensure that high‑quality, patient‑centered care is delivered in alignment with Carle Health’s standards for safety, innovation, and excellence. The Supervisor will carry a reduced caseload and provide direct services including substance use assessments, treatment planning, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and care coordination. You will use evidence‑based practices to support patients with varying levels of substance use disorders, co‑occurring mental health conditions, and complex psychosocial needs, promoting recovery, harm reduction, and long‑term wellness. A key responsibility of this position is to supervise, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors and related staff. You will provide regular clinical supervision and case consultation, review and approve documentation, support staff in managing challenging cases, and foster an environment of collaboration and continuous professional development. You will assist with onboarding and training new team members, promoting best practices and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards. The Supervisor will oversee day‑to‑day program operations, including managing schedules, monitoring productivity, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of clinical documentation in the electronic health record. In alignment with Carle Health’s focus on quality and outcomes, you will track key performance indicators, support quality improvement initiatives, and participate in audits and chart reviews. You will help ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and payer requirements. The Supervisor will also contribute to program development, assisting with needs assessments, proposal preparation, and the implementation of new or expanded services. This role is well‑suited for a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor with strong clinical and leadership skills who is passionate about community‑based care. The position requires the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and navigate complex systems of care. The Supervisor must be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, making sound clinical and operational decisions, and modeling professional and ethical behavior. Carle Health offers a collaborative culture that values innovation, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence. Employees in this role will have opportunities for ongoing professional growth through supervision, training, and participation in organizational initiatives. By joining Carle Health as a Supervisor (CADC required), you will play a key role in improving patient health outcomes and supporting recovery for individuals, families, and communities affected by substance use disorders.
