This is a relationship‑driven, consultative sales role focused on working with architects, engineers, contractors, and end users to design, specify, and win complex electrical and data communication solutions long before they go to bid.

What You’ll Do
Influence the spec.
Write and secure Legrand product specifications with key specification decision‑makers across Southern California.
Build trusted A&E relationships
through:
Design assistance and technical collaboration
Implementation of Legrand Master Specifications
Continuing education (CEU) and training sessions
Partner with electrical contractors
by providing:
Design and solution support
Product and solution training
Project‑specific technical assistance
Engage major end users
in key vertical markets to influence standards and long‑term specifications.
Own a project pipeline
reflective of market opportunity—from concept through construction.
Collaborate across Legrand
with local sales teams, distribution partners, and product specialists to drive full‑market penetration.
Represent Legrand in the field
through business reviews, training events, trade shows, and industry engagement.
Manage your territory like a business —using CRM daily to plan, prioritize, and execute for results.
Deliver results.
This role is accountable for meeting and exceeding territory quota.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
Bachelor’s degree
or
equivalent experience in construction‑related industries
5 years
of sales, specification, or technical consulting experience
(or 10+ years in electrical, communications, construction, A/V, engineering, architecture, or interior design)
Proven ability to
influence without authority
and lead stakeholders through the construction sales process
Experience with:
Specification writing and master specs
Engineering drawings, submittals, and take‑offs
Budgetary and technical analysis
Strong negotiation, presentation, and consultative selling skills
Comfortable working with CRM, presentations, spreadsheets, and digital sales tools
Confident communicator—equally effective one‑on‑one or in front of groups
