À propos

As a Rad Tech at Piedmont Healthcare, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered diagnostic imaging services within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. Working in a fast-paced hospital and outpatient environment, you will perform a full range of radiographic procedures, including routine diagnostic X-rays, portable imaging, and fluoroscopic exams, following established protocols and safety standards. You will prepare and position patients, verify orders, confirm patient identity, and ensure appropriate shielding and radiation safety for patients, staff, and yourself. Using modern imaging equipment and PACS, you will acquire clear, accurate images, assess image quality, and promptly communicate critical or unexpected findings to the radiologist or ordering provider according to departmental guidelines. You will collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other members of the care team to coordinate exams, prioritize urgent requests, and support smooth patient flow while maintaining a compassionate, reassuring presence for patients and families. Documentation of procedures, contrast usage, and patient history in the electronic medical record will be an important part of your daily work, along with adherence to all regulatory, accreditation, and infection-prevention standards. Piedmont Healthcare fosters a culture of respect, innovation, teamwork, and professional growth, so you will be encouraged to participate in ongoing training, competencies, and continuing education to maintain certifications and stay current with evolving imaging practices. In this role, you may assist with training or precepting new technologists and students, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and offer input on workflow and process enhancements. This position is ideal for a technologist who is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and committed to delivering compassionate care while operating advanced imaging technology in a supportive and inclusive environment dedicated to comprehensive patient care across Georgia.
