About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Cyber Security Engineer (m/w/d) to join our innovative team on a permanent basis. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for defining cybersecurity requirements for our products, conducting comprehensive security risk analyses during the design phase, and implementing protective measures to safeguard our systems. Your expertise will contribute to shaping the security architecture of our products, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations such as the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). You will play a key role in integrating DevSecOps practices into our software development lifecycle, fostering a security‑first approach from conception to deployment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting‑edge technologies in a high‑tech environment, supporting our mission to deliver secure and reliable solutions for demanding applications worldwide.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in computer science, information technology, or a comparable field. You should have practical experience with agile software development methodologies and be familiar with DevSecOps concepts. Knowledge of relevant security standards such as ISA 27001 and IEC 62443 is essential, along with certifications like CISSP or CISM, which are highly desirable. You should have proven experience conducting security analyses, including Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments (TARA). Excellent communication skills in English (minimum C1 level) are required, along with a structured, analytical approach to work. Reliability, commitment, and the ability to influence and implement security measures effectively are crucial attributes for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Define cybersecurity requirements (Requirements Engineering) for upcoming products based on the specific operational environment, including applications in civil aviation.
Perform security risk assessments and identify vulnerabilities during the product design phase to prevent potential threats.
Develop and implement protective measures such as encryption, secure boot processes, and secure authentication methods to ensure system integrity and confidentiality.
Participate in the product development process to ensure adherence to security standards, legal requirements, and regulatory frameworks like the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
Establish and promote the integration of DevSecOps practices within the software development lifecycle, fostering a security‑oriented mindset across teams.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed security considerations into all phases of product development, testing, and deployment.
Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and industry best practices to continuously enhance the security posture of our products.
