Summary The Ash Group is hiring a
Database Administrator
for our client, a major electricity and natural gas utility provider. This is a 12-month contract working in Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid) offering a pay rate of
$56
per hour based on skillset.
Compensation: $56/hr

What You’ll Be Doing
Responsibilities include managing and supporting multiple database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB), performing performance tuning, patching, database builds, backup and recovery, and scripting for automation
Participate in on-call rotation (every 4 weeks, 7-day coverage).
Monitor DBA helpdesk and address proactive/reactive alerts.
Collaborate with internal teams and support ongoing projects (e.g., ADMS upgrade).
Use ServiceNow to manage and fulfill requests.
What We’re Looking For
Looking for 5-7 years of hands‑on DBA experience.
Experience in utility or SCADA environments is a strong plus.
Must have hands‑on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB.
Performance tuning, patching, database builds, backup and recovery expertise is a must.
Scripting experience: KornShell (Unix/Linux), PowerShell (Windows) is required.
Experience with ServiceNow is a must.
