Maintenance Engineer

•The Maintenance Engineer is an integral part of our Engineering team based out of our Ireland - Sligo site.

•This role is full-time on-site in our Sligo site. The weekly working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 17:00pm.

• 
  
• Maintain machinery, plant, equipment, utilities, facilities and services to required operating standards, ensuring that the validated state of GMP equipment is maintained.
  
• Perform installation, emergency, corrective and preventive maintenance of equipment.
  
• Perform routine PMs and related paperwork according to scheduled timelines and ensure that eMaint (CMMS) is updated.
  
• Coordinate and manage maintenance contractors/equipment vendors on site, issuing and control of permits to work.
  
• In partnership with Operations, Quality and TSA troubleshoot issues, providing engineering expertise to find solutions promptly.
  
• Perform duties in a compliant manner and in accordance with all site SOP’s, EHS standards and guidelines and relevant legal requirements.
  
• Breakdown analysis.
  
• Work closely with project team to assist in the specification, installation, commissioning and testing of new or recommissioned equipment/plant/utilities.
  
• Attend FATs to ensure adherence to user requirements specifications and associated requirements.
  
• Own or provide engineering input to deviations, CAPAs and change controls.
  
• Participate in internal audits.
  
• Deal with any problems or issues escalated from Operations which may affect production.
  
• Management of inventory.
  
• Participate in projects to improve system performance and reliability.
  
• Assist in developing and implementing line/process improvements to achieve required OEE, support continuous improvements.
  
• Provide ‘On Call’ support for the site.
  
• Escalate issues with equipment or its management to the Engineering Manager.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  

• 
  
• Bachelor degree or similar trade qualification in an engineering discipline
  
• 5 years+ of industry experience in a GMP manufacturer with at least 3 years’ experience in maintenance of chemical, HVAC/mechanical systems, pneumatic & hydraulic system, electrical power systems, control systems, building management systems
  
• Experience in maintaining utilities, facilities & production/process equipment
  
• Good team player who enjoys collaboration.
  
• Proactive attitude with ability to work on own initiative within the Phibro Quality Management and Engineering Standards framework.
  
• Understanding of the different level of work order priorities.
  
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  
• Appreciation of total cost of ownership in dealing with equipment specification, repairs and maintenance.
  
• Analytical skills and ability to problem solve.
  
• Understanding of the relevant quality standards.
  
• Sense of ownership and accountability for own work.
  
• Experience of participating in project work and handling multiple tasks.
  
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
  
• Proficient in MS packages.
  
• Predictive maintenance regimes and routines
  
• Experience working with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) – eMaint an advantage.
  
• Time management.
  

• 
  
• Experience in tablet manufacturing or other pharmaceutical areas.
  
• AHU’s, Autoclaves and Lyo experience would be a strong advantage. xcfaprz
  
• Experience with utilities (black and clean utilities)
  
• Equipment validation experience.
  
• Experience with AutoCAD and ability to read & interpret technical drawings & specifications
