We are looking for a Sr. Field Service Engineer to join a leading provider of high‑tech, cost‑effective capital equipment that transforms materials and surfaces at the nanoscale. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting‑edge technology in the semiconductor and advanced materials industries, supporting customers across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Support customers with equipment installation, problem solving, retrofits, preventative maintenance, and on‑site training for semiconductor processing equipment.
Provide technical support for strategic suppliers and partners.
Offer technical phone support and maintain customer correspondence and scheduling.
Participate in internal and external customer technical meetings.
Work with management to create and implement plans to resolve issues and escalations.
Requirements / Qualifications
BS/MS in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
7+ years of Field Service or Customer Support Engineer experience in semiconductor or other capital equipment industries.
Strong understanding of electro/mechanical aspects of semiconductor equipment.
Demonstrated experience in areas such as electro/mechanical systems, robotics, PLC control, RF, pneumatics, heater control, vacuum, electronics, and electrical systems, including the ability to interpret schematics and drawings.
Excellent customer service and communication skills for both external and internal stakeholders.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and follow strict safety protocols.
Proven ability to complete assignments effectively and with attention to detail in a demanding environment.
Experience creating customer‑presentable technical procedures and service reports.
Semiconductor FAB experience preferred; must be permitted on major customer sites.
Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Email, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice.
