This role offers the opportunity to work within an established site team on large-scale construction projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating site operations and ensuring projects are completed in line with programme, quality and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule and to specification
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades and direct labour on site
- Monitor project progress and ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements
- Ensure health & safety standards are maintained in line with company policies and statutory regulations
- Maintain high quality control standards through regular site inspections
- Liaise with the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Engineers and design team to coordinate works and resolve issues
- Manage site logistics, materials and plant requirements, ensuring timely procurement and efficient use of resources
- Maintain daily site records and progress reports, ensuring key information is communicated to management
- Assist in identifying, managing and reporting variations and changes in conjunction with the commercial team
- Lead site meetings, daily briefings and toolbox talks where required
Requirements
- 5+ xcfaprz years’ experience in a Site Manager role with a Main Contractor
- Experience delivering medium to large-scale commercial or industrial projects
- Third level qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline, or a trade background with relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building regulations and health & safety legislation
- Excellent organisation, leadership and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain programme delivery
- Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling
