Working closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team, you will perform a variety of imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders, established protocols, and regulatory standards. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and positioning patients for imaging exams, operating radiologic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images, and ensuring that all imaging studies are completed safely, efficiently, and accurately. You will verify patient identity, obtain relevant medical history, explain procedures to patients and families, and answer questions to promote understanding and ease anxiety. Using advanced imaging technology and digital systems, you will capture, evaluate, and submit images through PACS and related clinical information systems, ensuring that images meet quality standards and are available in a timely manner for interpretation by radiologists. Accurate documentation of procedures, patient information, and technical data in the electronic medical record will be an essential part of your daily responsibilities. You will contribute to a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment by maintaining equipment in proper working condition, performing basic troubleshooting, and reporting malfunctions for service. Adherence to infection prevention practices, proper use of personal protective equipment, and compliance with departmental policies will be expected at all times. As a member of an integrated health system dedicated to advanced medical practices, you will also participate in quality improvement initiatives, competency training, and continuing education to maintain and enhance your skills. At Baylor Scott & White Health, you will be part of a culture of caring, collaboration, and innovation, where every team member is committed to enhancing the patient experience and supporting an inclusive workplace. You will have opportunities to grow professionally through access to education, cross-training in additional modalities where appropriate, and advancement opportunities within the radiology and broader healthcare system. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, patient-focused Radiology Tech who is motivated to contribute to transformative healthcare services in a supportive, fast-paced, and multidisciplinary clinical setting. The Radiology Tech will typically work on-site in a hospital or clinic environment, which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holiday shifts depending on departmental needs. Strong communication skills, a commitment to safety and quality, and a compassionate, service-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role.
