Infrastructure Software Engineer

Location: Limerick (Hybrid – 1–2 days onsite)

Duration: 9-12 Months

We have partnered with a leading pharmaceutical organisation, who requires a number of experienced Infrastructure Software Engineers to join their core project team based in Ireland. This opportunity offers the chance to work on highly scalable, cloud-native infrastructure supporting critical systems in a regulated environment.

Ideal for a strong software engineer who has a passion for infrastructure, platform engineering, and DevOps, who thrives in modern cloud environments.

• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure tooling and services using Go
  
• Automate and optimise CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
  
• Build and maintain integrations across multiple systems and services
  
• Work with RabbitMQ and messaging systems to support distributed architectures
  
• Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices
  
• Implement robust logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability
  
• Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards

• Minimum 4–5+ years of experience in software engineering or infrastructure-focused development roles
  
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly AKS and cloud-native services
  
• Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or ArgoCD

• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or similar IaC tools
  
• Solid experience working in Linux environments, with scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.)
  
• Strong understanding of Git workflows and modern software engineering practices (including testing)
  
• Experience working in regulated environments (e.g. pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices) would be highly desirable
  
• Exposure to distributed systems and event-driven architectures would be extremely beneficial
