Head of Engineering - Hybrid Dublin - €160,000 to €180,000
Pictured this...... You are in charge of a huge team of engineers, you are involved in a whole lot of strategy and overall company technological vision ie "where will we be in 3 years time and what will we be using?" Sounds great, right!
Well this role is certainly something to whet the appetites of senior leadership heads. They are looking for a disruptor not necessarily a safe pair of hands. Pushing boundaries, asking why instead of saying yes.
This company is all over the world and has dominated their market, so much so that they're acquiring new companies and broadening their horizons.
If you're someone who is leaning into AI augmentation and adoption then you will be able to push for similar initiatives.
What they need
As mentioned, they need an anti status quo person since they are venturing out into new product offerings, they need someone to see the technology opportunity and pick holes in it.
A solid technical leader, someone who is still relatively close to the tools, if you have been totally removed from technical and architectural stuff then it's not the right role for you.
You need to be able to suggest changes and give your rationale as to how they can be implemented, this is where your technical expertise can be leveraged.
You're a seasoned leader, someone who can instill confidence in your team and they're happy to implement your ideas and get behind you.
Ideally someone from a high growth start-up or similar. Not a deal breaker but if you are used to working without red tape enabling you to be creative then this role is perfect.
Have led a team of a minimum of 40 people.
You will be required onsite around 3 days a week, this is to make sure you can shape culture better and be a consistent presence. xcfaprz
