We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Nurse Supervisor to lead and coordinate nursing teams within a diverse healthcare setting. This vital role involves overseeing patient care delivery, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes excellence in nursing practice. The Nurse Supervisor will play a key role in managing staff, optimizing workflows, and maintaining high-quality patient outcomes across various units including acute care, long-term care, behavioral health, and specialized units such as ICU, emergency medicine, and geriatrics. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence healthcare delivery through leadership, clinical expertise, and operational management.
*Duties*
* Supervise nursing staff to ensure delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate patient care aligned with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
* Coordinate daily staffing schedules, assign duties, and monitor team performance to maintain optimal patient-to-nurse ratios.
* Oversee clinical procedures including IV infusion, catheterization, medication administration, wound suturing, and tube feeding while ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations to inform treatment plans.
* Manage medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner; ensure accuracy in medical records and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Facilitate discharge planning, case management activities, and utilization review processes to promote efficient patient flow and resource utilization.
* Provide training, mentorship, and supervision for nursing staff; foster professional development in areas such as dementia care, behavioral health, pediatrics, neonatal ventilator management, and trauma care.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians in hospital medicine or surgical units; participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with NCQA standards.
* Lead infection control efforts and ensure compliance with safety protocols across all clinical activities.
* Support hospital operations by managing patient intake processes, triage procedures, specimen collection/processing, laboratory testing coordination, and medical imaging oversight.
*Experience*
* Four years in a hospital setting.
* Two years of management experience preferred
*Licenses / Certifications*
Registered Nurse in the State with a current license.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS
*Education*
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Additional state requirements as applicable.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
