Responsibilities
Master the data lifecycle by gathering, cleaning, and preparing complex datasets; join disparate tables and construct analysis‑ready data sources that power applications and visualizations.
Apply deep expertise in Python and SQL to analyze intricate datasets; develop novel metrics and key performance indicators, designing comprehensive data‑driven solutions that directly address customer requirements.
Analyze historical data and trends using advanced statistical methods to build predictive models that forecast future outcomes; continuously refine and optimize model performance to drive strategic decision‑making.
Design and build compelling interactive dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, and Qlik; perform analysis both in the back‑end data source and within the visualization tools to tell powerful stories with data and empower stakeholders.
Apply rigorous data‑science techniques across the entire analytical lifecycle—from data collection and processing to the final presentation of statistical insights—to transform complex information into actionable intelligence.
Qualifications
BS degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or computer science; 5 years of related data analysis experience, 3 years with an MS/MA.
3+ years of experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI.
3+ years of experience with Python and SQL.
Familiarity with advanced mathematical, statistical, or analytical techniques.
Secret clearance or ability to obtain; must be a U.S. citizen.
Desired Qualifications
Familiarity with aviation data, flight records, and maintenance and reliability data.
Advanced Tableau data visualization experience.
Experience in data processing with Tableau Prep.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation and technical advocacy.
Self‑directed team player with proven ability to deliver tasks timely and efficiently; demonstrated ability to interact professionally with all levels of management.
High‑level problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.
Flexible and able to work in a dynamic environment.
Experience in the aerospace and/or defense industries.
