UF Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate RT to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department in Gainesville, Florida. As part of a leading academic health center, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered radiation therapy to individuals undergoing treatment for cancer and other conditions. In this role, you will work closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other members of the care team to provide safe and precise treatments using state-of-the-art equipment and evidence-based protocols. Your daily responsibilities will include preparing patients for therapy, accurately positioning them for treatment, operating radiation therapy equipment, verifying treatment parameters, and monitoring patients’ responses throughout their course of care. You will follow strict radiation safety and infection control standards while documenting all aspects of treatment in the electronic health record. Because UF Health is a comprehensive academic health center, you will also support an environment of continual learning by participating in quality improvement initiatives, assisting with the education of students or new staff when appropriate, and staying current with advances in radiation therapy practice. You will be expected to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families, explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and helping to promote comfort and trust. This position thrives on collaboration, and you will work in close partnership with your interdisciplinary colleagues, contributing to case discussions, adhering to individualized treatment plans, and escalating clinical concerns promptly when needed. An accredited radiation therapy education, ARRT eligibility or registration, and applicable state licensure are expected.
