CT Technologist-PresNow-ABQ

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a skilled CT Technologist for our PresNow location in Albuquerque, NM. As a CT Technologist, you will perform high-quality CT imaging procedures on a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Working within our Healthcare & Medical Services department, you will collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other clinical professionals to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging and safe, compassionate care. In this role, you will prepare and position patients for CT examinations, verify orders and clinical indications, and operate CT scanners and related equipment while adhering to radiation safety standards and departmental protocols. You will obtain patient histories relevant to the exam, explain procedures clearly to reduce anxiety, and monitor patients before, during, and after exams, including administering and monitoring IV contrast according to established guidelines. Timely and accurate image acquisition, post-processing, and transfer of images to PACS, along with thorough and precise documentation in the electronic medical record, are core expectations. The CT Technologist-PresNow-ABQ is responsible for maintaining a safe environment by strictly following infection control, contrast safety, and radiation protection practices, including ALARA principles. You will inspect and use imaging equipment appropriately, report malfunctions, and assist with routine quality assurance and quality control tests to support image quality and equipment performance. Attention to detail, technical accuracy, and the ability to follow imaging protocols and adapt them based on patient condition or radiologist direction are essential. Success in this position requires excellent communication and teamwork skills. You will work closely with providers and staff to prioritize exams, coordinate with emergency and inpatient services as needed, and support throughput and patient flow while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor. You may assist with scheduling, patient transport, and preparation of imaging rooms, and will help orient new staff or students as appropriate. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays, may be required to meet patient care needs.
