Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a skilled CT Technologist-PEH to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging to patients across our non-profit health system in Albuquerque, NM. In this role, you will perform routine and advanced CT examinations in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and established safety standards, ensuring consistent production of high-quality diagnostic images. You will greet and prepare patients for procedures, verify patient identity and exam details, obtain relevant clinical histories, explain procedures clearly, and provide compassionate care that reflects our culture of respect, integrity, accountability, and patient-centered service. Working closely with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team, you will position patients accurately, select appropriate scanning parameters, and operate CT equipment and related imaging systems, including PACS and RIS, to acquire, process, and transmit images in a timely manner. You will follow radiation safety principles and ALARA guidelines, utilize shielding when appropriate, and continuously monitor patients for comfort and safety, including those with contrast sensitivities or in critical condition. Responsibilities include performing IV contrast injections per protocol and scope of practice, monitoring for and responding to contrast reactions, documenting all relevant information in the electronic medical record, and adhering to infection prevention and quality control procedures. The CT Technologist-PEH will help maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment, perform routine equipment checks, report malfunctions, and assist with troubleshooting to minimize downtime. You will support scheduling and workflow efficiency by prioritizing exams based on clinical urgency, coordinating with emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services, and ensuring complete and accurate exam documentation. In alignment with Presbyterian Healthcare’s commitment to quality and safety, you will participate in quality improvement initiatives, image quality review, dose monitoring, and departmental performance metrics.
