RT

UF Health is seeking a skilled and patient-centered RT to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department in Gainesville, Florida. As part of a leading academic health center, the RT will play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging that supports accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and compassionate care for a diverse patient population. In this role, the RT will perform a full range of radiologic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and regulatory guidelines, ensuring images are of optimal diagnostic quality while maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety and infection control standards. The RT will carefully position and educate patients, verify identification and procedure details, and monitor patient comfort and safety throughout each exam, providing clear, respectful communication tailored to patients and families from a variety of backgrounds. Responsibilities include operating and troubleshooting radiology equipment, accurately documenting procedures in the electronic medical record, using PACS/RIS systems for image management, and collaborating closely with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team to support timely, coordinated patient care. The RT will participate in quality assurance activities, assist with contrast administration as permitted by licensure and training, and respond appropriately to urgent and emergent situations within the imaging environment.
