Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a CT Tech to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, contributing to high-quality, patient-centered imaging care in a collaborative clinical environment. As a CT Tech, you will perform a wide range of CT procedures, including routine, emergency, and specialized exams, following established protocols to produce high-quality diagnostic images for physicians across our network of hospitals, clinics, and emergency departments. You will prepare and position patients, verify orders and patient identity, assess for contraindications, and explain procedures to reduce anxiety while ensuring patient comfort and safety. This role includes operating and troubleshooting CT scanners and related equipment, selecting appropriate technical factors, and using radiation safety practices to minimize exposure to patients, visitors, and staff. You will screen patients for contrast allergies and contraindications, start IVs as needed, administer IV and oral contrast according to protocol and policy, and monitor patients for reactions or complications, escalating concerns promptly to the care team. CT Techs at Piedmont work closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, communicating effectively to clarify imaging requests, relay critical findings, and coordinate patient flow. You will prioritize and manage multiple cases, including inpatients, outpatients, and emergency cases, while maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and PACS. Responsibilities also include maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area; following infection prevention, quality control, and regulatory standards; participating in equipment quality checks and reporting service issues; and supporting departmental process improvement initiatives. In keeping with Piedmont Healthcare’s culture of respect, innovation, and teamwork, you will contribute to a supportive and inclusive environment, help orient or mentor newer staff or students when appropriate, and participate in ongoing education to maintain competencies and expand skills. This position offers the opportunity to grow professionally through training and development programs while playing a key role in delivering compassionate, comprehensive care to patients across the Piedmont system.
