Position Overview
XOVR CNC Parts & Service is seeking to fill multiple positions for a Laser Applications Specialist to provide expert-level application support, process optimization, training, and technical solutions for CNC machine tools. This role requires travel across the United States, and is ideal for a hands-on, customer-facing engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment and wants to make an impact on our customers\ productivity. XOVR CNC Parts & Service services, installs, and trains on laser cutting systems, press brakes, robotic systems, plasma cutting systems, drills, saws, and other metal fabrication equipment . All candidates must live within one hour of a major airport. Experience with CNC equipment is preferred. Experience with laser cutting systems is a strong plus , particularly with fiber laser systems used in metal fabrication.
Responsibilities
Baselining/debugging new CNC equipment systems
Training new customers and operators on equipment operation, procedures, and best practices
Troubleshooting existing equipment systems
Performing data analysis to assess machinery performance
Documenting machine safety, maintenance, and operational reports
Reading and interpreting layout, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams/schematics
Collaborating with engineers, service managers, and customers; reporting in an accurate, clear and thorough manner
Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to customers on CNC machine tools
Develop and optimize cutting parameters, and processes for customer applications
Assist with on-site or remote troubleshooting
Collaborate with customers to improve machine utilization and cycle times
Generate application reports, case studies, and technical documentation
Work alongside engineering, service, and sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction
Provide feedback for product improvements and customer pain points

Requirements
Travel Requirements
Non-Local Employees: 90% travel required
Murrieta, CA / Bozeman, MT Employees: 70% travel with partial time at our Murrieta, CA or Bozeman, MT location
Regular travel within assigned U.S. territories (1-2 weeks on-site, home on weekends when possible)
Some projects may require extended time on-site
Qualifications
Foundation of engineering technical knowledge such as a degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME) or Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) (preferred, but not required)
Experience with CNC machine tools
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams (layout/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic)
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience in laser cutting strongly preferred
Excellent communication and reporting skills
Self-motivated with strong customer-service orientation
Ability to problem solve methodically, and provide logical solutions
Must live within one hour of a major U.S. airport

Above industry average tiered-pay structure: $52,000/yr - $125,000/yr
401(k) Plan with up to 4% employer match
Paid Holidays
Flex Schedule: Up to 10 weeks off per year (4 weeks on, 1 week off)
All Expenses Paid: Hotel accommodations, air travel, rental car, food allowance, and mileage reimbursements
