Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a skilled and patient-focused CT Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in our hospital-based imaging department. As a CT Technologist, you will perform high-quality computed tomography examinations in a fast-paced clinical environment while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and dignity. Working collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team, you will follow established protocols to acquire diagnostic images, evaluate image quality, and adjust technical factors as needed to support accurate diagnoses and effective treatment planning. You will be responsible for preparing and positioning patients for CT procedures, explaining the exam process, screening for contraindications, and verifying patient identification and orders. You will operate CT scanners and related equipment, administer contrast media under established guidelines, and carefully monitor patients for adverse reactions, documenting all care in the electronic medical record. A strong emphasis is placed on radiation safety, infection control, and adherence to departmental and regulatory standards. You will participate in workflow coordination, exam prioritization, and emergency or add-on studies, contributing to efficient operations and reduced patient wait times. The role also includes routine equipment checks, troubleshooting minor equipment issues, and promptly reporting service needs to ensure consistent image quality and uptime. You will maintain accurate records, assist with quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives, and support the training and mentoring of new staff or students as needed.
