RN Acute Care Denver Float Pool

UCHealth is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our Acute Care Denver Float Pool within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple acute care units within our Denver-area hospitals, supporting a wide range of medical and surgical patient populations. As a Float Pool RN, you will be an integral part of an innovative, diverse, and inclusive care team, helping to ensure safe staffing and excellent outcomes wherever the need is greatest. Working in collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with complex and changing conditions. You will float among various acute care units—such as medical-surgical, step-down, telemetry, and specialty services—requiring strong clinical judgment, flexibility, and the ability to integrate quickly into different team environments. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, administering medications and IV therapies, monitoring vital signs and telemetry, managing complex care plans, and documenting thoroughly in the electronic health record. You will educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge plans, helping them navigate the continuum of care. You will participate in rapid responses and emergencies as needed, following UCHealth protocols and evidence-based guidelines to support safe, timely interventions.
