VFR Helicopter Pilot Med-Trans EG

As a VFR Helicopter Pilot Med-Trans EG with Med-Trans Corporation, you will provide safe, efficient air medical transportation in support of emergency and critical care missions within the Healthcare & Medical Services industry, operating in the Emergency Services environment. Flying a modern, well-maintained helicopter fleet, you will conduct VFR flight operations for time-sensitive pre-hospital and inter-facility transports, working closely with a highly skilled clinical team to ensure patients reach definitive care quickly and safely. In this safety-first, mission-driven role, you will perform pre-flight planning, aircraft inspections, weather assessment, flight risk evaluations, route selection, weight-and-balance calculations, and fuel planning, ensuring strict adherence to Med-Trans and FAA regulations at all times. You will communicate effectively with dispatch, hospitals, first responders, and air traffic control, maintaining situational awareness and professional radio communication throughout each mission. During all phases of flight, you will prioritize risk management, crew resource management, and standardized operating procedures, including the use of night vision goggles as applicable, to mitigate hazards in complex and dynamic environments. You will support ground and flight crews during loading and unloading of patients, coordinate safe landing zone operations with field personnel, and help maintain a calm, professional presence for patients, families, and healthcare partners.
