What you need to know
Our client based in South Wicklow is seeking a Financial Controller. This role is commutable from Carlow, Wexford, and Wicklow and offers a full salary and benefits package. You will play a key role in driving financial performance, supporting operational decisions, and acting as the primary finance link to the wider group, with exposure to international reporting and stakeholders.
Your new job
You will work closely with the Managing Director onsite, supported by a team. This is a hands‑on role covering the full finance function, including reporting, controls, and commercial input into the business. The role is primarily onsite, with some flexibility once established and some flexibility around working hours.
Key Responsibilities
Full ownership of the finance function and day‑to‑day operations
Lead and develop a lean finance team
Act as the main point of contact for external auditors and group HQ finance team
Prepare management accounts and monthly reporting packs
Lead budgeting xcfaprz and forecasting, providing insight to leadership
Requirements
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
Experience managing a finance function within manufacturing or distribution
Experience in inventory oversight
Confident working with ERP systems
Strong communicator with stakeholder management experience
