Key responsibilities
Material Planning
Manage the end‑to‑end procurement process: supplier and part creation, PO raising, placement, follow‑up and payment, in collaboration with technical teams, supply chain managers, global planner, category manager and finance.
Work with the Category Manager to manage suppliers under existing agreements and contracts, identify constraints and coordinate issue resolution with internal stakeholders.
Plan material delivery schedules with suppliers in line with global planning and sales requirements.
Maintain raw material and component inventories within target levels, minimising excess, obsolete and expired stock.
Partner with the Category Manager to drive supplier performance (quality, on‑time delivery, responsiveness).
Act as main interface to finance to resolve invoice queries.
Supply Chain Management
Act as supply chain lead for designated projects.
Build supply chain project plans, global cost models and project cash‑flow views to support decision‑making.
Manage procurement of raw materials and plan production with manufacturers to ensure on‑time, in‑full delivery.
Challenge material and production costs and lead times (raw materials, shipping, inventory) to find improvement opportunities.
Coordinate shipping of goods with global and local freight managers.
Track actual supply, production and shipments versus plan.
Ensure the ERP system (Dynamics 365) is accurately maintained.
Inventory Management
Run monthly inventory reports from ERP and support cycle‑count / stocktake activities.
Monitor slow‑moving and obsolete items and drive actions to remain within inventory targets.
Expertise & Continuous Improvement
Identify issues and opportunities for improvement in supply chain processes, tools and ways of working.
Lead or support cross‑functional transformation and continuous improvement projects.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager.
Education & experience
Degree in Procurement, Business, Purchasing, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
3–5 years’ experience in a Supply Chain, Material Planner, Buyer/Planner or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Skills & competencies
Strong planning and organisational skills; able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with solid problem‑solving skills.
Flexible and calm under pressure; comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong team player with the ability to build relationships across departments and with external partners. xcfaprz
Excellent written and spoken English and confident communication style.
Advanced Excel skills and strong experience with ERP systems, ideally including Microsoft Dynamics 365.
