Your role on the teamAt Stageline, we are used to thinking big and working on large-scale projects. For over 35 years, the world’s greatest artists have performed on our stages, and the company continues to thrive through countless exciting projects. Within our Scène Éthique division, located on the South Shore, we are currently looking for a Mechanical Assembler .
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will actively participate in the mechanical fabrication and assembly of our stages from start to finish.
Your responsibilities:- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical instructions.
- Assemble mechanical components using manual, electric, or pneumatic tools.
- Install finishing materials (wood flooring, aluminum trims, decals).
- Verify compliance of parts and assemblies (dimensions, fit, functionality).
- Perform adjustments, drilling, screw fastening, and riveting.
- Follow safety guidelines and quality procedures.
- Collaborate with production, quality control, and engineering teams.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Perform self-quality checks on final assemblies and complete inspection reports.
Within the first 6 months:
- You will be able to correctly read and interpret complex mechanical drawings.
- You will be capable of performing assemblies independently, with accuracy and efficiency.
- You will be able to work on multiple product types or assembly stations.
- You will demonstrate initiative by suggesting improvements or proactively reporting issues.
Within the first year:
- You will demonstrate increased versatility by working on multiple production lines or product types, sometimes supporting other teams.
- You will maintain a steady work pace with an excellent compliance rate.
- You will manage your workstation independently and anticipate material needs.
- You will be able to complete several finishing stages on different parts while ensuring overall quality.
- You hold a high school diploma and/or training in mechanics, electromechanics, or a related field.
- You have mechanical assembly experience (1 to 3 years preferred).
- You are organized, autonomous, detail-oriented, resourceful, and versatile.
- You have a strong understanding of technical drawings and mechanical tolerances.
- Teamwork and collaboration motivate you in your daily work.
