À propos

Med-Trans Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Rotor Wing Pilot to support our Emergency Services department, providing safe, efficient, and reliable air medical transport for critically ill and injured patients. As a key member of a dedicated flight team, you will operate rotor wing aircraft in diverse and often challenging conditions, ensuring the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and patient-focused service on every mission. You will conduct pre-flight planning, including weather evaluation, route selection, fuel calculations, weight-and-balance, and aircraft performance checks, while strictly adhering to all FAA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. During missions, you will maintain precise aircraft control, communicate effectively with medical crew, dispatch, air traffic control, and ground agencies, and manage time-sensitive operations to support rapid response and safe patient transport.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections, identifying and reporting any maintenance concerns, and collaborating closely with maintenance personnel to ensure the aircraft remains in optimal condition. You will utilize night vision goggles and advanced avionics as required, operate in day, night, and IFR conditions within defined company and regulatory limits, and make sound go/no-go decisions based on risk assessment and operational parameters. You will actively participate in safety programs, debriefs, and quality improvement initiatives, and you will contribute to a culture of safety-first decision-making where conservative judgment is supported and encouraged.
Med-Trans Corporation provides air medical transport services with a focus on safety and innovation, partnering with healthcare systems and operating a modern fleet to ensure critical patient care. You will work in a supportive, safety-first environment that values teamwork, clear communication, and professional excellence while always prioritizing patient care and service. You will collaborate closely with flight paramedics, flight nurses, and communications specialists to coordinate efficient, patient-centered transport, often under time pressure and changing conditions.
The Rotor Wing Pilot is expected to engage in ongoing training, recurrent check rides, simulation, and continuing education to maintain and enhance proficiency in aircraft systems, emergency procedures, instrument flying, and EMS-specific operations. You will participate in regular drills and scenario-based training, maintain currency in company procedures and regulatory changes, and assist with mentoring less experienced pilots when appropriate. You will also represent Med-Trans in a professional manner when interacting with partner hospitals, first responders, and the public, supporting outreach activities and demonstrating our commitment to safety and high-quality patient care. Candidates must be comfortable working a rotating schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays, and must be prepared for rapid response to emergent missions in a variety of weather and terrain environments.
