Responsibilities
Support the team to provide technical engineering best practices to guide, direct, design, plan, and develop documentation for deployment of cybersecurity operations tools like Forescout, SIEM, Logs management, and the like.
Able to learn fast and apply the skills to effectively use cyber operations tools like Elastic Search, Splunk.
Experience with IT architecture/information systems compliance RMF Special publications, systems controls, enhancements, assessment procedures, implementation plan, system security plan (SSP) and understanding of eMASS processes and procedures.
Apply practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
Actively participate in all meetings such as, but not limited to weekly staff meetings, weekly training, etc.
Good writing/documentation skills, with capability of interfacing with key government partners on operational and technical matters.
Support focus teams or specialized projects to promote rapid improvement turnaround.
Maintains a high-level of customer service focus, exhibiting expertise, courtesy, timeliness, and professionalism while interfacing with users and senior staff members in person, on the phone and/or email.
Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Analytically inclined with attention to detail and accuracy and consistent follow-through to assure problems are resolved.
Ability to identify and articulate key information in an efficient and timely manner.
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment when handling situational occurrences.
Analyzes and recommends alternative solutions to meet customer needs.

Responsible for handling after‑hours on‑call support (when necessary).

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information assurance, computer science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work experience.
Experience: 6+ years of overall demonstrated experience in IT, cybersecurity, information assurance or computer science.
Technical skills – at least 2+ years Red Hat Linux engineering, at least 2+ years Windows Server Administration/engineering, at least 2+ years of Forescout experience (prefer Splunk and Elastic Search), application of DISA STIGs and use of SCAP/SCC scans tools (4 years), CCRI/CORA & RMF processes/procedures/documentation, scripting (PowerShell, Python, BASH), TLS/SSL certificates, Apache Kafka/Confluent (nice to have), VMware ESXi virtualization knowledge/experience, storage experience (NetApp, SAN, etc.).
Excellent problem solving, analytical, and decision‑making capabilities, including understanding user requirements, troubleshooting technical issues, successfully resolving issues and challenges, and developing creative solutions for process improvement.
Dependability – consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve.
Must have customer service experience as this position will require engaging with senior military and government leadership.
Must be able to present ideas clearly through briefings, meetings, and interaction with leadership of different skill sets.
Excellent communication, documentation skills, strong organizational and collaborative skills, team engagement, and ability to assimilate information rapidly.
Maintain current industry knowledge of relevant concepts, practices, and procedures.
Other duties may be assigned, directed, or requested.
Security clearance level: Active SECRET security clearance required and must be maintained.
US citizenship required.
Certification requirements: Must possess the appropriate baseline certification(s) to achieve a minimum of DoW 8570.01‑M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) prior to start. Will need to obtain an additional computing environment certification within six months of hire (e.g., CEH, CCNA‑Security, CND).
Location & Schedule Location: Falls Church, VA. Three (3) days onsite with up to two (2) days telework. Onboarding/transition requires onsite support up to 60 days. Work schedules are subject to change based on mission requirements from GDIT or USG leadership.
Schedule Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week.
Travel Required: Less than 10%.
Telecommuting Options: Hybrid.
Work Location: USA VA Falls Church.
Salary Range Likely salary range: $114,750 - $155,250. Compensation will be based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
