The Analyst, Information Technology (Testing) ensures the quality and functionality of software products by conducting thorough testing and validation processes before they are released to end-users or clients. The position is hybrid based in San Juan, PR.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, project managers and other stakeholders to understand requirements.
Validate user stories from the projects assigned within the service level previously agreed upon.
Create, maintain and manage test documentation such as test scripts, test cases, testing results, and defects.
Stay updated with best practices and trends in software testing for continuous improvement.
User acceptance testing: coordinate with business users to validate that the software meets their requirements and expectations through test cases based on the acceptance criteria defined in user stories.
Regression testing: ensure that software updates and changes do not negatively impact existing functionalities.
Automated testing: collaborate with developers to ensure all new or critical functionalities are included in the automation testing process.
Deployments sanity checks: participate in staging and production deployments and perform a sanity check to ensure no negative impact on existing features after deployment.
Analyze business and technical requirements to define clear, comprehensive test scenarios and test cases for web and mobile banking applications.
Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field required.
One (1) year of experience in software testing (integration, system, functional, regression, performance, and smoke testing) required; banking experience preferred.
Minimum education and experience requirements can be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Communicates effectively and clearly with a broad range of employees across the organization, as well as external counterparts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish, with a demonstrated ability to write communications clearly, concisely, and effectively.
Analytical, proactive, problem‑solving, organized, detail‑oriented and able to multitask while observing defined quality standards.
Ability to analyze business requirements and develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); technical knowledge in Jira, MS SQL, and AWS preferred.
Work Authorization & Eligibility
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. is required. This position is of indefinite duration and requires candidates to have permanent or ongoing work authorization.
Employee is responsible for maintaining eligible work authorization throughout their tenure with the organization.
