Responsibilities
Develop and generate Creo layouts and detailed model‑based designs (MBD) for ICDs, components, sub‑assemblies, assemblies, and integration test articles.
Build BOMs and create parts, assemblies, and design documentation within Windchill PLM.
Coordinate with the IPT team, suppliers, GSC, electronic packaging, and structural/thermal/material analysts to ensure design excellence.
Manage design releases, respond to CRs, generate CNs, and present/support change boards and design reviews.
Perform design trade studies to evaluate cost, weight, performance, and structural/thermal benefits.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in an engineering‑related field.
Comprehensive understanding of mechanical design engineering principles and demonstrated knowledge of industry practices.
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and the ability to perform complex detailed part and subsystem tolerance analysis.
Minimum 3 years experience with Creo or similar 3D computer‑aided design software.
Ability to generate engineering drawings, documents, parts lists and specifications.
Ability to work with minimal oversight or supervision.
Ability to lead investigative efforts and report status to interdisciplinary teams.
Desired Skills
Hands‑on experience with machining, rapid prototyping, or lab equipment (CNC, 3‑D printers, test rigs).
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Model‑Based Definition (MBD).
Experience with aerospace hardware such as structures, optical or radio frequency (RF) sensors, energetics, propulsion, or flight control systems.
Experience with phases of aerospace systems lifecycle from proposal and capture efforts, development, transition to production, production, and sustainment.

Remote Work Part‑time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
