The Associate Quality Assurance Engineer supports quality engineering activities within manufacturing to ensure product quality, process performance, and compliance with internal and customer requirements.
This entry-level role focuses on data analysis, problem solving, and cross-functional support for manufacturing quality, supplier performance, and customer quality activities. The position works closely with engineering, operations, reliability, and other quality teams to investigate issues, support corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Analyze manufacturing data from fabrication, assembly, and test operations to identify trends, yield issues, and process variation
Support yield improvement initiatives through data-driven analysis and reporting.
Develop dashboards and reports (e.g., Power BI) to track quality and performance metrics
Support root cause investigations for internal defects, customer returns and supplier-related issues
Assist in development, implementation and verification of corrective actions
Assist in monitoring supplier performance and quality metrics
Assist in conducting internal audits to verify compliance with quality procedures and standards
Participate in risk assessments (e.g., DFMEA) and ensure mitigation actions are implemented and validated
Support readiness for customer, regulatory, and certification audits
Support supplier audits and supplier corrective action tracking
Support the Material Review Board process for nonconforming material
Support change control processes for product and manufacturing changes
Qualifications
Requires no previous professional experience. Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in manufacturing, quality, or engineering environments is preferred
Basic understanding of quality management systems and quality assurance principles
Ability to interpret data and identify trends
Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar) preferred
Experience with data visualization or reporting tools
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving mindset
