We are seeking a highly skilled Senior or Lead Service Designer/User Researcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in service design, user research, and user experience, with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions in a government context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of service design initiatives, ensuring alignment with user needs and business objectives.
- Conduct user research to gather insights that inform design decisions and improve service delivery.
- Facilitate assessments and workshops that evaluate service design effectiveness, demonstrating strong Government Digital Service (GDS) credentials.
- Provide examples of past assessments where you identified challenges, developed strategies to overcome them, and implemented solutions that enhanced user experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to iterate on designs and drive continuous improvement.
- Engage with stakeholders at various levels to deliver clear communication around design processes and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Service Designer/User Researcher, with strong GDS credentials.
- Demonstrated experience leading assessments, with the ability to articulate specific challenges faced and how you navigated them to achieve successful outcomes.
- Strong background in government services, preferably within the transport sector
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams.
