*About the Role*
Val Verde Regional Medical Center (VVRMC) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Rehabilitation Services team. In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population.

*What You’ll Do*
* Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals
* Provide therapy services to restore function and prevent disability
* Conduct swallowing assessments (including dysphagia evaluations) and recommend appropriate dietary modifications
* Educate patients and families on treatment plans, progress, and home exercises
* Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
* Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
* Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the medical record
* Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care
* Assist with scheduling and coordination of therapy services
* Contribute to departmental quality improvement and performance initiatives
* Participate in infection control, safety, and continuing education programs
* Support department operations and administrative tasks as needed
*What We’re Looking For*
* Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
* Current Texas licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
* Current BLS certification required
* Strong knowledge of speech/language pathology principles and clinical practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
