At Affinity Water , our Design team plays a vital role in making the application and quotation process simple, clear, and efficient for our customers. Were looking for a Design Engineer to join us on a 18 month FTC to deliver high-quality water mains designs while supporting customers through the early stages of their journey. From application through to payment, youll ensure designs are accurate, cost-effective, and easy to understand. Youll work closely with customers, contractors, and internal teams to produce compliant designs, challenge costs, and ensure schemes are ready for delivery. With a strong focus on safety, water quality, and minimising disruption, youll also carry out the Designer role under CDM, ensuring risks are identified and managed from the outset. What youll be doing: Producing and reviewing water mains designs, including third-party submissions
Supporting customers through applications, design, and cost queries
Ensuring designs meet safety, regulatory, and company standards
Collaborating with contractors and stakeholders to deliver efficient solutions
Preparing design documentation, cost advice, and construction information
