We are seeking a highly experienced
Data Security Architect (Principal Level)
to join a leading Cybersecurity organization and drive enterprise-wide data protection strategy across modern cloud and AI environments.
This is a strategic, high-impact role responsible for defining and implementing robust data security frameworks across both traditional platforms and emerging technologies, including AI and advanced analytics systems.
Key Responsibilities
Define and lead enterprise data protection strategy across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
Architect and implement Azure Purview for data classification and governance
Design and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls across Microsoft 365, endpoints, and cloud platforms
Secure AI and data pipelines, including RAG architectures and vector databases
Establish Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) strategy and architecture
Develop and maintain data incident response protocols and playbooks
Provide architectural leadership, including threat modeling and security design patterns
Collaborate with Security Engineering, Data Governance, Cloud Operations, and AI/ML teams
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in data security, information security, or data architecture
Hands‑on experience with Snowflake, Microsoft Defender, DLP tools, and Azure Purview
Strong background in data engineering or enterprise data platforms
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AI/LLM security or responsible AI practices
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or Azure Security
Familiarity with DSPM platforms
Strong understanding of cryptographic standards (AES, SHA, TLS) and emerging privacy techniques
Overview (Plain Language) In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that sensitive data is properly secured, governed, and used appropriately across the organization. This includes protecting customer and operational data, preventing data loss, and enabling the secure adoption of cloud and AI technologies.
