Position: Nursery Room Leader
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £36,000 per annum

Your Role as Nursery Room Leader

As a Room Leader, you will:

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to children's age and development.
  • Support the holistic development of children—physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally.
  • Assist staff in maintaining high-quality updates on the EyLog system and children's learning journals.
  • Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility in your role.
  • Implement an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments.
  • Maintain accurate records on the EyMan system and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor.
  • Understand and uphold the statutory framework for the EYFS.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Essential: Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification.
  • Essential: Over 1 year’s experience in Early Years.
  • Desirable: Over 6 months’ experience in a senior position.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Ofsted expectations for achieving a Good or Outstanding rating.
  • Essential: Understanding of the EYFS statutory framework and regulatory requirements.
  • Essential: Fluency in written and spoken English.
