Position: Customer Service Representative
Reports To: National Sales Manager
Overview: The Customer Service Representative is responsible for managing all outside sales orders from initial handoff through final delivery and completion. This role serves as the primary internal point of contact for outside sales representatives, vendors, and logistics partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable, owning the full lifecycle of customer orders in a fast-paced outdoor power equipment environment. This position ensures orders are entered in accurately, placed with vendors on time, deliveries are coordinated properly, and issues are proactively resolved until the order is fully completed.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process orders from outside sales representatives.
  • Enter sales orders accurately into the companys POS / order management system.
  • Review orders for accuracy, completeness, pricing, and availability.
  • Track all orders from submission through delivery and final close-out.
  • Place purchase orders with vendors and manufacturers.
  • Confirm pricing, lead times, availability, and shipping details.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with vendors regarding order status.
  • Resolve vendor issues related to backorders, delays, substitutions, or discrepancies.
  • Schedule and coordinate deliveries to customers, job sites, or company locations.
  • Work with freight carriers, delivery services, and internal logistics teams.
  • Ensure proper documentation is completed for shipments and deliveries.
  • Communicate delivery timelines and updates to outside sales and customers as needed.
  • Act as the internal support hub for outside sales representatives.
  • Provide order status updates and proactively flag potential issues.
  • Assist with quotes, revisions, and order changes.
  • Ensure smooth handoff between sales, vendors, and delivery teams.
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for customers when needed.
  • Handle order-related inquiries, changes, and problem resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all orders.
Required Skills, Education & Experience:

  • 2+ years of inside sales, order management, or sales support experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with order entry systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Familiarity with vendor purchasing and logistics coordination
